This year, WXW officials have appointed former Elite 8 winners Alicia and Mercedes Martinez as “Selection Captains”, allowing them each four picks to make up the eight-woman tournament.

Alicia, ever the “Diva”, has chosen four of the hottest women in wrestling, including:

- The spunky Becky Bayless

- The exotic Annie Social

- Rising Star Alexa Thatcher

- The popular Jana

Martinez , meanwhile, has selected four hard-nosed, down-and-dirty athletes who want to prove that determination and work ethic can beat out beauty…they include:

- “The Definition of Technician” Cindy Rogers

- The Wild Samoan Training Center ’s powerhouse Monique

- The brutal Hailey Hatred

- The freaky Dischord

While each woman will be competing for personal glory, all eight will also be fighting to answer this age-old question: who is better, wrestlers or diva’s?

If that wasn’t enough, WXW has appointed one of the hottest, most popular women in wrestling as the special guest official for the finals of the tournament…Sunny! Known as the original diva, will she play favorites or call it right down the middle? We will all find out together on November 10th!

Plus, WXW Women’s Champion Kacee Karlisle will defend her title…but against who??? Could history be made on November 10th in Coplay?

As an added bonus, International Pro Wrestler/Fitness Expert Erica Porter will join us at the Elite 8. Porter will be appearing in support of her book, “Eat That Monkey: Now Is The Time To Change Your Life!”

Both ringside and theatre-style seating will be available for this historic evening of women’s action, so make your plans now to join us in Coplay, PA on Saturday night, November 10th for the Elite 8!

WWE Divas & Superstars to Appear on Family Feud Next Week

Layla, Candice Michelle, Michelle McCool, Queen Sharmell and Maria on Family FeudSurvey says it’s time to tune in to Family Feud. The syndicated game show hosts WWE week starting Nov. 5, as the male Superstars and the Divas will go head-to-head in fierce, but fun, competition.

Family Feud host John O’Hurley will be joined by Ric Flair, Mr. Kennedy, Batista, King Booker, and Jonathan Coachman on the Superstars team; and Layla, Candice Michelle, Michelle McCool, Queen Sharmell and Maria on the Divas team.

“Family Feud is fun! I watched it growing up. I’m a game show dork, I guess,” McCool laughed.

“I love Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right – probably those are my top three,” the SmackDown Diva said. “And as a former teacher, I have a lot of knowledge, but it’s the useless knowledge that comes in handy on that game, to be honest with you.”

Raw Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman is also a big fan of the game show, which has been entertaining fans since 1976.

“I was excited to do Family Feud. It’s one of my favorite shows of all time,” Coachman said.

WWE week will feature five episodes of outrageous excitement and tough competition as the Superstars and Divas compete to guess the most popular answers to pop culture and human interest questions posed to a group of 100 people.

“It’s one of those shows that obviously has been running for so long, so it’s a good concept. It’s a good show,” Mr. Kennedy told WWE.com. “You can play along at home because the answers are relatively easy. It was a great time. I think we bonded a lot, the Superstars and even the Divas, to some degree.”

Who will come out on top as Family Feud champions, the Superstars or the Divas? Tune in to Family Feud the week of Nov. 5 to find out!

Former Diva Search Contestant MIA

Taryn TerrellAfter doing tons of media to get votes for the WWE Diva Search, Taryn Terrell has stopped replying to e-mails and accepting friends on her MySpace since being eliminated from the Search.

Apparently she did an interview where she buried Randy Orton and Stacy Keibler. In the same interview, she said there is one WWE Diva she knows to stay away from. No idea who she was talking about, but Melina is a good guess. She always said that if she was eliminated, she would keep working on getting a deal with WWE.

Random Diva News: Diva Search Winner & Kelly Kelly’s Boobs

Eve Torres - 2007 WWE Diva Search WinnerThe winner of the 2007 WWE Diva Search, Eve Torres, is a 23 year old professional dancer, actress and model. In the past, she has done work for Ford Trucks, Nascar, Seventeen Magazine, ESPN, Nintendo, Maxim and other companies. She has also appeared on the soap opera Days of Our Lives, ABC’s Show Me the Money and even danced for the NBA and ABA for three years. No clue yet which brand she will end up on, but with the release of Kristal and Krissy Vaine, there’s always room for her on SmackDown.

A number of outlets claimed that ECW Vixen Kelly Kelly debuted new, augmented breasts at Cyber Sunday. At press time, there was no information to provide a basis for such a claim; the twenty-year-old Diva’s breasts simply appeared bigger due to a very flattering outfit that pushed up her breasts.

Interesting Interview With WWE Diva Melina From the UK Sun

WWE Diva Melina PerezGorgeous grappling babe Melina Perez has pleaded for WWE management and fans to see the federation’s women as more than eye candy.

Speaking to The Sun at the launch of the Raw vs Smackdown 2008 computer game in Washington, she said: “We’re not just people who stand there and look pretty – we can actually wrestle.”

Our latest Diva of the week is pretty damn good at both.

She is a two-time women’s champion and, as you can see in these pictures, sizzles whenever the camera is on her.

And Melina thinks the rest of the WWE women’s division has those qualities too.

She said: “I am so excited about the future. We have so much potential and talent, as well as lots of different styles and looks.

“I love to see that variety – we can’t have all cookie cutter cutesy little girls.

“It’s nice that Candice Michelle has been able to step a little bit on Raw and Beth Phoenix brings something extra. Then on Smackdown there is Michelle McCool and Victoria.

“I look at all the female wrestlers who came before and I want to be better. I want to take everything I’ve learned and evolve.

“Instead of being told what to do I want to be able to create.

“On Raw, we’re starting to do things on the fly and react to what’s going on more.

“It may not look as pretty but we take pride that we did it ourselves.”

The Californian superstar added: “I still watch all the wrestling I can – whether it’s TNA, Japanese or Lucha Libre – because that’s my art.

“We should look at how they present women and take a bit from all of them.”

Melina then paid tribute to Sensational Sherri, the legendary WWE wrestler and manager who died earlier this year from a drugs overdose.

“I think she is the greatest ever,” Melina insisted. “Sherri was the complete package.

“There is a lot you have to go through when you are a female in a man’s world, which wrestling is.

“I feel like I have to fight harder and work harder to play among the boys and show that I deserve to be here and am not just a girl who is going to be flirting around and acting cute.

“Sensational Sherri went through all of that and I admire her so much. It kills me that we haven’t paid enough respect for the road she paved.

“I was distraught when she died.

“I know we’ve been losing a lot of wrestlers, but I don’t judge them for how they passed away – I just admire and respect them for what they achieved and how they touched my life.

“And Sensational Sherri really did touch my life.”

As a huge wrestling fan, it must be difficult for Melina to share a locker room with girls who may never have even heard of her heroine.

Many of the WWE’s women are models and actresses, with no wrestling background, recruited through the annual Diva Search.

But the Raw star doesn’t begrudge them their place alongside her on the roster.

She told us: “When I first got hired, it was with a bunch of models, so they automatically labelled me as one of the ‘Playboy girls’ and I was never taken seriously.

“I got to experience what that feels like so I never want to be treated like that or treat other people like that.

“I’m not going to blame anyone for entering a Diva Search contest to get into the WWE – I would have done it!”

Melina’s big goal for 2008 is to once again be part of the women’s title match at WrestleMania, especially after having her championship match cut to just three minutes at this year’s extravaganza.

She revealed: “We had an insanely short amount of time. We almost didn’t even do the match.

“They were so tight for time, but luckily we were able to get on. I remember saying ‘thank you God’.

“Now I want the chance to do it again.”
