Project Runway Not Into WWE Divas, TNA Knockout Gail Kim On Knockout Show, Amy Weber News

gailkimxg821.jpgIt seems that while we love women’s wrestling and women wrestlers, the reality t.v. show, Project Runway seems to disagree. One of the reasons that the show is leaving Bravo TV for the move to Lifetime network is because they were forsed to put the WWE Divas on an episode(as they are personalities from a show from one of their sister networks). The people running Project Runway found the whole episode beneath them and that it tarnished the fashion industry. Its interesting to note that while the women’s wrestling angle wasn’t to their liking it was one of their hightest rated episodes, a move that Universal(Bravo) took credit for.

TNA Knockout and former Womens wrestling champion Gail Kim was recently asked about the formerly rumored Knockout show, and here’s what she said:
“I’ve heard rumors that they want that to happen, and I think that’s a great thing. If it can succeed, I think it’s great for women’s wrestling, because I think we’ve changed the minds of a lot of people, including people in the company. A lot of fans have already e-mailed me and said they would definitely watch it. I just know that all-girls shows don’t have a really good track record of succeeding, but I think we could do it.”

Former WWE diva Amy Weber was recently on an episode of Entertainment Tonight, on a segment regarding wedding dresses. Weber is getting married on May 17th, and as an extra tidbit of information regarding the former womens wrestler, Amy will be singing at the wedding.
