With regret and sadness we pass on the news that former ECW star Francine has lost both her father and sister to cancer. Francine was at father’s wake when she found out her sister had passed on. We can’t imagine what this would be like and only wish Francine the best in her time of need.

We want to pass on that ECW Original Francine’s father and sister have both been diagnosed with cancer and have been given less than 6 months to live by doctors.

Just wanted to let you all know that both my Father and my sister have cancer and they both have 6 months or less to live (at least that’s what the doctors told us). I am beyond upset right now. I appreciate all of your prayers and ask you to please continue to pray for them because miracles do happen. I just don’t want them to suffer. I am going to spend as much time as I possibly can with both of them, so I won’t be on here that much anymore, at least not while this is going on. I just wanted to say that I appreciate each and every one of you and love you all very much. Again, please keep my Daddy and Chrissy and my family in your prayers. Thank you all so very much.

ECW Diva Layla is looking to work on her ring game, and so is currently training at Jesse Hernandez’s School of Hard Knocks. You may have heard of Jesse Hrenandez, he’s trained some notable talent, names like Melina, Rico, Frankie Kazarian, and even Chris Jericho(before he went to Mexico for Lucha). Layla seems to have made an impact on Jesse, here’s what he said: “It is quite an honor to have former student and friend, WWE Referee Marty Elias, recommend WWE Diva, Layla, to my wrestling school, Jesse Hernandez’s School of Hard Knocks, and allowing me to assist her in her wrestling training. I am so amazed at her quick learning ability. I truly feel that Layla will definitely make an impact in WWE as she certainly is willing to make sacrifices in her tight schedule to come out and learn to better herself and earn the respect of her peers as she prepares herself to master the squared circle. I, along with others, feel that she certainly has the fire in her eyes and the charisma that one needs to make it in our business. She certainly has earned my respect and the respect of our students that have been in the ring with her.” Good for Layla, its nice to see a Diva working on something besides their hair, and skin.

There’s a rumor coming from fairly legit sources, saythat that former WWE Diva Rena”Sable” Lesnar/Mero will have a part on the next season of Desperate Housewives. The word is that she will play a sister of the character Edie, who does resemble Sable in some ways. As a side note, Rena’s husband, Brock Lesnar(the former WWE superstar) will be competing in the UFC in either March or April.
Kelly Kelly was said to be devastated backstage after her match with Layla on this past week’s ECW show. She has been practicing the move she missed, the handspring elbow, and has hit it numerous times in practice with Layla.

Lena Yada posted this update on her official website claiming she’s been signed as an ECW backstage announcer. WWE seem very high on her, calling her twice:

UPDATE! I went to RAW at Staples center in LA this past monday to meet with WWE and…..I was offered a developmental deal!!!!! :-)) They were offereing to send me right away to Tampa to train YAY! …….BUT…..I had to turn it down. I know, it was a tough decision to make, a dream job handed to me on a silver platter and I had to push it away.

Some of you will be asking why? and here is the answer: I moved my father in with me 2 months ago. He is in his last stretch of an incurable fatal lung disease. I am taking care of him until a pair of lungs become available for a double lung transplant.

On an upnote! They did call me back the next day to offer a different deal which I did accept. I will be working as a backstage interviewer for ECW. Not what I wanted, but thats ok. They did say that once my father was better that they would allow me to still do ECW, but also send me to the training camp in Tampa :-) In the mean time I am training at a new gym here called XMA where I am learning how to take falls as well as stunts and mixed martial arts.
