November’s Issue of RingDivas Xposed

behindthescenes-03-102908.jpgDestiny Dumon the multitime grappling champ looks to re-invent herself on saturday.

Anyone that has had the pleasure of seeing Destiny in action during a match or during a lingerie shoot knows that Destiny quite possibly has the most sculpted and the most beautiful body on the roster.

Reminiscent of a Victoria Secrets runway model and the personality of a sweetheart one can’t help but to get drawn in by her beauty and charmed by her presence. But, things have not quite been picture perfect for Destiny and this saturday she looks to re-write history when she faces Abbey Rhodes at Capital Punishment.

Making a First Impression
Destiny: When I came to this company I will admit that I didn’t have the slightest idea how to make the transition from my mma grappling background to wrestling. So much of me wanted to do the best that I could and I tried so hard to make sure that I didnt f*ck up and I f*cked up!!! Big Time!!! In the process I forgot about the things that were important which I needed to succeed. More then anything, I let myself down.

Re-Inventing Destiny
Destiny: Its hard to get past a first impression but after what I felt were several unsuccessful outtings I pulled the owner aside, swallowed my pride and asked, “What the heck am I doing wrong here.” After a long conversation we both made the decision that I needed to take time and step away to practice and learn more so that I could perform at a higher level when I returned. Capital Punishment Re-Birth
Destiny: In someways it is like a re-birth. I’ve been away for sometime. Practicing, training and I feel its my time to show off what I’ve learned. Your going to see a brand new Destiny at Capital Punishment. I’m faster, I’m stronger, and I’m going to give it 100% against Abbey Rhodes. Up until this point I have not won a single match. I don’t want to be known as the girl that has a big goose egg in the win column. I know that I am much better then that.

Sculpting and Training Regimen
Destiny: Well I’m a huge gym freak, as you can tell. :) Along with my gym training I’ve also been training at the RingDivas Womens Wrestling School. Along with a lot of unknowns that are trying to make it into RingDivas I might add. Its so strange to train with girls that have never debuted always asking if it is as fun as it looks and if its worth the wait. My response? If it wasn’t worth the wait do you think I’d be sitting here talking to you now???

Sexual PhotoShoot Tension
Destiny: Lol. Me and the current Undisputed World Champion Suicide had a hot spread. Unfortunately 90% of the fans never got to see it because they cut out most of the tandem features. WassupWitDat???
Sites set on the World Title?
Destiny: Yeah.. um more like sites set on winning my first match. You have to crawl before you walk. My cocky days are over. Its one-step at a time, one match at a time. Your never going to get far looking past your opponent. A valuable lesson that I learned from my first few horrifically failed outtings. I will give Abbey credit as she deserves it. Abbey spent 6 months at the RingDivas Womens Wrestling School before getting this opportunity and I applaud her for that.

Trick or Treat and Costumes.
Destiny: I actually do have a costume for this saturday. Although Kyle didnt specifically ask me to bring one I definitely will be dressed up. But get this, my costume is going to be my new wrestling outfit that I most likely plan on keeping. I would give you a hint as to what the costume is but then I would have to kill you. Aaaaaaaaaaand we both wouldnt want that now would we?

Final moment of Truth
Destiny: This saturday is infact the moment of truth. I will definitely be nervous but I will feel good about it once its over. Win or lose I will give 100% and to the fans I promise it will be entertaining!!!

TNA Knockout Traci Brooks Interview

traci1.jpegChicago suntimes.com interviewed Traci Brooks recently. During the interview, Traci opens up about challanges she had growing up and how she overcame them to become a wrestling star. We give a nod to Traci, one of the Knockouts strongest, and hottest assets.

She will be part of the program Thursday when TNA Wrestling’s ”TNA iMPACT” leaves its home in Orlando, Fla., for a live show in Las Vegas.

Even in high definition (which the show will be for the first time at 8 p.m. on Spike TV), viewers might have trouble realizing Brooks lacks muscle definition in her right arm.

Quick Hits had the chance to chat with her backstage at the recent ”Bound for Glory IV” show in Hoffman Estates and was surprised to find out as an infant Brooks had Erb’s palsy, which affects the nerves in the arm.

”My mom exercised my arm every day till I was 2 and I was also in a sling that was attached over my head in my buggy,” she said. ”I was one out of six kids with this condition at the time, and the only one to benefit in a positive manner due to mom’s persistence, dedication and the fact that she exercised me every day.”

Brooks plays sports left-handed and writes right-handed.

”I’ve been wrestling for nine years now, and if you are wondering, yes, it does affect me in the ring, both physically and mentally.

”We are in a very cosmetic business in which the focus is on looks, body and physicality. For someone such as myself, that is portrayed as a superstar, this is difficult. In my mind, I am just a girl with a disability and not perfect like we are perceived.

”Just like everyone else, I have overcome many obstacles in my life and career. This was my most challenging. However, I am now a pro wrestler living my dream.”

Not bad for someone who cannot throw a right-handed punch or perform some other wrestling moves.

”I worked around these obstacles and now do things a bit unconventionally, yet still effectively. To this day I think about how lucky I am.”

Stacy Keibler in NY Vue TV Guide

stacy-keibler-picture.jpgThis week’s NY Vue TV Guide has an article on former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler. In the article, “Dancer’s In Step With ‘Samurai’”, ABC Family Channel has indicated to Stacy plans to pick up the “Samuri Girl” miniseries as a series. “They already told me I’m coming back.” The six hour program is based on a series of popular young adult novers. Keibler plays the nemesis of Heaven Kogo (played by Jamie Chung) aka Samurai Girl. “I come in as Jake Stanton’s (played by Brendan Fehr) fiancee in the last 3 hours, just when things are heating up with them, so it creates a love triangle as well as some jealousy for Heaven.”

Keibler says that her days with WWE and ‘Dancing With The Stars’ are behind her. Keibler says she’s doing all she can to be taken seriously as an actress. “When I’m on set, I feel like I’m in college getting my master’s degree. … I have a lot to learn, so I’m very realistic about it all. When I’m not working, I’m in class 4 days a week at different studios.”

Wow, we miss the sight of Stacy Keibler’s legs. Come on, ABC, get Stacy more spots on TV!

Angelina on Monday Night Mayham

angelina.jpegMonday Night Mayham had the good fortune to have Angelina Love as special guest on the 08/18/8 live edition of Monday Night Mayhem at MondayNightMayhem.com.

Highlights from the interview include:

Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, along with “The king Of The Mountain” Jeff Jarrett, will be doing an autograph signing at Darien Lake Theme Park on Saturday.
Angelina is very happy that within a matter of one year, the TNA Knockouts have done as well as they have and that it took only a few months to have some of the highest-rated segments on iMPACT. Angelina said in essence that women wrestling has grown from what it was to what it has become. The credit belongs to the fans that watch TNA and have supported the Knockouts division, as all of the girls have taken notice of the tremendous support they have been receiving from around the world.

Angelina has many things to celebrate. TNA’s No Surrender PPV is on September 14th in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, where Angelina, who is Canadian, went to college. The day before the No Surrender PPV, September 13th is actually her birthday and that she will be wrestling the TNA house show in London, Ontario the night before. Love encourages her fans to bring plenty of B-Day signs for her. Angelina has been submerged with requests for tickets from family and friends and this will truly be a homecoming for her and a good portion of the TNA roster.

“For every Canadian wrestler, this will truly be a wicked homecoming for us…We are ridiculously excited…I cannot even tell you.”

Angelina is surprised that the fans out there several years ago didn’t let women’s wrestling completely die, when it was just filled with “models who could take a half decent bump.” She strongly beliees in the TNA Knockouts and that are “keeping women’s wrestling alive and taking it to another level,” as each of the girls having a different style and look to them. The fans have taken notice and respect what they do.

Angelina talks about the WWE Diva’s Championship belt. Like many who have seen the belt, she doesn’t necessarily like the way it looks, but she is favor of the title. Angelina gives credit to Natalya Neidhart and Victoria as being two girls who can actually work and this does give them something to compete for on Smackdown, in lieu of the WWE Women’s Championship on RAW.

The Beautiful People have expanded with the recent addition of “Cute” Kip James as Angelina and Velvet’s “make up artist and hairstylist, along with their biggest supporter,” in Angelina’s words. She is looking forward to teaming up with Kip, as she knows that Kip will have The Beautiful People’s back. “We are feeling good about it…We like it.”

Bad news. Angelina has a boyfriend who is in the music business.

You can also get more Angelina at tnawrestling.com, as she is on this week’s ‘Spin Cycle.’

Traci brooks Interview

tracibrookssexy.jpgTNA Knockout Traci Brooks was the special guest on Thursday’s Monday Night Mayhem. The Big Mosh, Blade and DFL host the show which can be heard live and in streaming audio every Monday night at 8pm ET/ 7PM CT.

Traci’s return to The Mayhem is available for free in Windows Streaming Media.

Traci Brooks (Windows Streaming Media)

Traci Brooks (MNM Podcast/MNM On ITunes)

Traci was welcomed back to The Mayhem by the hosts, Mosh, Blade and DFL. Mosh pointed out Traci hasn’t been on the show in over two years. Traci jokingly replied that “you have to want me. I have to keep you on your toes.”

Traci will be “going home” next month for TNA’s No Surrender spectacular in Toronto, but she is heading “north of the border” a little bit sooner than that. Traci was very excited about her involvement in the Blood, Sweat, & Ears (official website: www.BloodSweatAndEars.com) cross-Canada promotional tour, in support of The United Way. She loves the fact that TNA stars such as herself, Gail Kim, Angelina Love, & Taylor Wilde have trained there, talent such as “The War Machine” Rhino & Robert Roode have worked there multiple times, & that someone such as “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage comes back to help out/train with the BSE roster. She strongly believes that is a credit to them as a solid promotion. Traci appreciates the fact that they are a great organization and federation, and did point out that Kurt Angle’s only non-TNA, Indy promotion that he has worked for to this point in time has been Blood, Sweat, & Ears. BloodSweatAndEars (BSE) events all August will be benefiting a great cause: The United Way Of Canada. Check to see if BSE will be performing in you area by checking out their website!

Last Sunday night saw TNA make its Pay-Per-View debut in “The Garden State” of New Jersey for Hard Justice. Traci is very appreciative of the fans that came out live, and supported her & the rest do the roster…especially the Knockouts during the six-women’s tag team match (ODB, Gail Kim, & Taylor Wilde vs. The Beautiful People & Awesome Kong), which she had the chance to referee. Besides the house show last December in Oshawa, she does not remember a crowd that was so into a show. From bell-to-bell, the fans were rabid, and loved what they were seeing. Traci also gave all the credit in the world to “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles & Kurt Angle, as well as Booker T & “The Samoan Submission Machine,” Samoa Joe for tearing the house down.

Traci feels that the Knockouts division continues to improve by leaps & bounds, and has done so since its inception into the company. The highest-rated segments on “iMPACT” are those of the Knockouts, so Traci wished to point that out as their own “report card” of sorts for those who still are not giving the girls a fair chance, as well as the “armchair quarterbacks” of TNA. She also wished to add that the Knockouts are all unique & different, and she credits the girls for working well together to this point in time. “We all want the business to do well…not ourselves.”

She is very thankful that women’s wrestling has come a long way, and that not only have the TNA Knockouts had tremendous success, but the WWE Divas. As many fans know, Beth Phoenix trained with both Gail Kim & Traci, and Traci feels that “The Glamazon” has done great work in the WWE, along with Natalya (who she described as “an excellent edition”), Melina, Mickie James, & even Kelly Kelly has come a long way. Traci wished to go on record saying she is not knocking their division at all, and in fact, does follow their product.

Traci is stoked to say the least about TNA’s first-ever PPV in Canada, No Surrender, to The General Motors Centre. She said that a large portion of TNA’s roster is Canadian, and that the rest of the roster that comes from America’s neighbor to the north is as excited as she is. Traci describes the fans in that area as “respectful,” and that they do not take TNA for granted. “They are there to enjoy the show and have a great time.” One thing Traci does get slightly upset at are those people who go to a wrestling event, spend their money, and “sit on their hands.” If you do that, “that makes you a moron.” She also added that Chicago fans, just like fans from the Toronto area love women’s wrestling, and is very much looking forward to Bound For Glory IV in “The Windy City” in October.

Many fans of TNA Wrestling have learned about the rumors that are swirling around about former WWE Champion, former SmackDown color-commentator, & best-selling author, Mick Foley, possibly headed to TNA in mere weeks. Traci wanted to take her time on The Mayhem to address those rumors, and the possibilities of not only “The Hardcore Legend” coming to TNA, but possibly “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. “That would be awesome. I am big fans of both of them. But right now, everyone has to concentrate on watching the talent we have right now, and the talent that has brought us to this point right now to want Mick Foley & Ric to come to us to sign.”

Traci encourages all of her fans around the globe to check out his official MySpace page, located at www.MySpace.com/TNAKnockoutTraciBrooks.
